We are planning a bowling event for the bunnies, just have to get the details ironed out, and we will include all info in our MHRR e-newsletter soon, as well as post details here on the site. Stay tuned!!!  June 23rd - Summer is definitely here - between the heat and the tons of buns coming in, summer is in full swing! Last week we set up some fans in the windows to help with air circulation, and are opening the main door in the evenings (with an ex-pen along the bottom for extra security). We are trying to get some new cages (the Marchioro green/tan style that we already have) and already have applied for an account with the distributor so that we will get them at the wholesale price that we got all the original cages at. We have 2 new buns in - Lil Man last week and Freckles this week - and both are now spayed/neutered and ready for new homes. We have 2 more that possibly coming in, and then we will be beyond full! Hopefully the new cages will be able to be ordered soon so we can get some of these new guys out of the little ones and the wire-bottomed modified ones. Summer is a season of slow adoptions and lots of incoming buns, so please bear with us as we try to juggle all these little guys needing attention and new homes! June 8th - Good news! Billie's adoption is final, and we also have another pending adoption! We have a family bringing their californian bunny on Thursday to see if he gets along with Snowflake or Usagi. Also, we spayed newest buns Pinky & the Brain... and one was a hermaphrodite! That makes 3 ever here at the rescue, with two of them still up for adoption. Lastly, a big thanks to our friend Mr. Richard from animal control for mentioning us during the WAFB news adoption segment. It's been a great bunny week! June 6th - Yesterday the "tween" californians were spayed and neutered, and Ichigo will be heading in this week for hers. Also delivered to the vet clinic were our newest rabbits, Pinky & the Brain. Both came from ARNO (Animal Rescue New Orleans) and appear to be Florida Whites. There was a comment made last Care Day about us not having as many albinos.. apparently nobody knocked on wood!
